FTR, I'm gay and do not get turned on by, or like looking at 'boobs'.

Probably because my female friends shove them in my face constantly.

First of all, smac, thank you for the awesome thread. Your wife sounds at the very least bisexual to a degree. I think you can see that based on your description of her. I have always agreed that it's sensible for women to find other women attractive because the female form is far more pleasing to the eye than the male form, although that doesn't really apply to women who are into butch lesbians.

Many academics believe there is a gradient of gender preference. One can be completely hetero or completely gay, but one can also be anything in-between. It's not an all or none phenomenon, obviously.

So, if you buy into that theory, it wouldn't be surprising at all if the OP's SO is actually at least a little bit bi-curious. She may or may not ever act on that curiosity, especially if already involved in a monogamous relationship, but it does seem to be there given those comments.

I think they're interesting in the same way playing with your jello is interesting. Not a turn on, really.

Then again, most of my friends are straight guys, so having boobs in my face isn't a problem I have to worry about. I can see how it would get old.

^^ That doesn't come across to me as an orientation per se, but rather a lack of desire.

You’re going to have to spell that one out for me, I’m afraid: what ‘jello’, exactly?

If you get a small box, put your tit in it, then fill the bottom with plaster; you can make a titty jello jiggler mold.

The fruit flavored.... oh, hell. I opened myself up for that, didn't I?

(I did mean it purely in the sense that both jello and boobies jiggle when you poke them. Which is hysterical.)

Something just occurred to me. Why are you asking us. Ask your wife if she is a lesbian.

Ah, all right.

No, I was more wondering about the ‘your’, making it sound to me as though ‘your jello’ was a euphemism for body part that all guys have and which you find it ‘interesting’ but not a turn-on to play with. The latter two statements seemed slightly contradictory to me, so I was honestly baffled as to what the jello was referring to.

Do you REALLY think she would know ?

I mean, women often aren't even sure about basic things, like if they are hungry, happy, thirsty and what not.

Guys will play with anything they can; I agree that your take would have been confusing.

I think I can buy that theory. I have a hint of same sex attraction myself, but I'm not gay and I don't know if bisexual really makes sense for me.
Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.

I have. The subject comes up occasionally. Usually after watching King of Queens (Leah Remini) or something with Halle Berry in it. She says she doesn't like women in that way but also says sexual things them.

She has also admitted that IF she were, with her upbringing she would probably have a hard time reconciling her feelings.

My theory is that most women will flirt with bisexuality if given the right situation.

I have tested my theory thoroughly with great success!

That's basically an admission. She'll have problems even explore what her feelings are. What are you going to do about it?

Do? I don't know that I am going to "do" anything. I'm very open-minded about issues like this and will support her no matter what happens. I guess I'll just try to let her know that, like I always have.

Either that or get her and her friends good and drunk and get busy.

Within this theory it follows that there must be a straightest man in the world and a gayest man in the world, at opposite ends of the spectrum. None more straight and none more gay.
Coincidentally, both of these men are members of MacNN. Aren't we Salty?

That's doing something about it. I guess if I were you, I'd feel as if the relationship is at a crossroads and you don't know which path she'll take. But it's good that your wife has such an understanding and loving partner

I agree with your agreement that that would have been confusing. I still think the attraction to boobs for gay men, at least, is that they're not so much arousing as amusing.

Oh, I was just doubting whether I wanted to know what finger jelly in water balloons was a euphemism for—or why it would make the water balloons squeal.

OK, for those of you who have not felt a nice pair of women's boobs. They do NOT feel like water balloons.
