This happened in Hong Kong yesterday. The car is Mercedes 230 Kompressor. It's an drunk and drive accident. The rear passenger died. The distance between the engine/transmission and the car (if you can still call it a car that is) after the crash is 50 meters+.

Sad that the passenger in the rear seats died.

Did the driver walk away from a 144mph crash?

Q

The vehicle speed at crash is being investigated. The "231km/h" that you saw is the max speed of the crashed vehicle capable of doing.

Strange, the driver was not hurt.

Wow!!

Um, I have not even been able to do such a nice crash in a video game. Well, actually I have, but well then the laws of physics in games are, how do we say this?, distorted!

Question, why was the passenger in the back, did the driver have cooties or something?

Yes, it sucks the passenger died eh?

It looks like the passenger in the back seat wasn't wearing a seatbelt and the driver was saved by his airbag.

Slick shoes?! Are you crazy?!

Worst one I ever saw was when a car hit an overpass on a superhighway just minutes before I drove past. I don't honestly know what make it was, because it was about half its original length and totally engulfed in flames.
There were no surviviors.

Holy freak! Please, for the love of Bob DO NOT DRIVE if you've had too much drink. There are just too many horror stories around like this. Cars are dangerous enough as it is.

One thing I wonder about, how did someone get a car up to 231kKp/h in Hong Kong? I mean, there's not that much room there, and the traffic has got to be pretty heavy around the clock. Oh, and why bother having a back seat in a two door Mercedes? It's not like they couldn't afford to have four doors.

Cheers!
