Since I installed iOS 4.2 on my iPad I no longer see the option to delete mags in gmail, only delete messages. Anyone else notice this? Am I missing something obvious here?

Thanks!

I know. I had to read it twice and then check my phone.

I think you mean "only archive messages" in gmail boxes. I noticed that too and archived messages by mistake by automatically hitting the red button. If you select "move" on the right, you can select the trash to move it too. Kind of odd steps to go through to delete messages. Maybe I'm missing something too.
I have no lid upon my head. But if I did, you
could look iniside and see what's on my
mind.

You are. In your Gmail account settings there is a toggle to archive messages. Turning it off allows you to delete messages as was the case with 3.2.

I had a similar problem. Except it was for my 'draft' folder. I couldn't delete any messages that were stored in there. Therefore, I sent the draft messages to my e-mail and deleted it that way.

Kind of annoying though.
