Nooo, not mine, but I do have SGI's, a couple of Octanes and an Indigo 2. Damn sweet machines for video work.

SGI's lcd's were amazing, the screen quality was on a par with what Apple produce now, sadly SGI are focusing more on the server, and high-end visualisation markets just now. Saying that though, their new Tezro workstation is a belter of a computer. Quad-cpus which can playback 12-bit HDTV video in real-time. Discreet are just about to release their Smoke system for Linux (first major Linux bit of software from them) and the Tezro outperformed the Linux system by a good margin, even in cpu rendering times.
Rockstar Games - better than reality.

Okay, seriously. I've heard it over and over, but... what the hell is so great about VW design? It's nothing special at all. The engineering may be great, but the design? Please... what gives?

Compare.

Nintendo : the maker of the best game of all times Super Mario 64
Apple: the maker of the best OS of all times Mac Os X

Nintendo: introduce the analogic control in games with N64 control pad.
Apple: introduce the iMac, the most revolutionary hard in the tech industry.

Nintendo: the example to get imitations from Sony and M$.
Apple: the example to get imitations from M$, Dell, etc...

Nintendo: says Born To Play
Apple: says Think Different.

The 2 best companies have ideals.

Nintendo invent, Sony copy.
Apple invent, M$ copy.

Bavarian Motor Works is most like Apple. Has anyone made note of it yet?

BMW = Quality = Time Tested = Newer innovations and style = They just work!

I don't own a BMW but I can see myself owning one in the future as they resemble
many aspects of Apple that I can appreciate as a switcher.

Right now I drive a Chevy, and it is ok, not quite able to compare it to M$ because of that... but it is a far cry closer than a BMW.

...

Here's another one:

Apple: May cause serious addiction to customers loyal to it's product brands.

Phillip Morris: May cause serious addiction to customers loyal to it's product brands.

I'm kidding of course. The 2 company's have a 'not alike' to 'similarity' ratio of about 50:1

I mean...come on...

They are the masters of style and innovation (next to Apple)...

Why hasn't anyone mentioned them?
