I'm burning a DVD via iDVD on my new PB 12" and was wondering how long this should take as it has been going for ages and says it is at stage 3:asset encoding. The app has'nt crashed but it really has been going for about 3 hours +. I only have 256mb of ram but will be upgrading that in a week or so, hopefully that will speed it up a bit.

Just a quick reply "it depends on lots of things."

For instance:
how much video is on the dvd, what kind of menus you have, the processor speed and ram.

If it isn't done after 6 hours I would be concerned.

The burning itself takes 1/2 the time of the video (if you have a 2x burner).
