Known exposure. I had been with my dad all week in the hospital and then a few days after. He started having a fever, and his doc recommended testing to rule it out. He was positive, so not surprisingly I was too.
Luckily, it seems to be one of the weaker variants. We both still feel like shit, but seem to be on the other side of the worst part, which was along the lines of a medium-grade flu.

Thank you!!!
My dad says he definitely feels like he’s recovering, and I’m far enough along I’m having brief moments of forgetting I’m sick.

Still not sure if I’m going to bother with flu, but if I do, I’m going to stagger. Last time I got both at once and it laid me out.

Ever since the swine flu almost killed me (literally) back in 2009, I don't hesitate.

I've got the flu shot at my dr, but for some reason covid shots are at the pharmacy only. Our usual pharmacy CVS is kind of imploding (odd hours, low staff, bad reports) so not sure where I will get it.

CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid are planning to close a bunch of stores. You might want to get your covid shots sooner rather than later, in case your CVS is one of them. Or check if your nearest WalMart has a pharmacy.
Rite Aid is also entering bankruptcy (besides closing stores) but they're re-organizing rather than dying. So from a consumer standpoint, it will just be store closings. If you own stock in Rite Aid though, it's probably worthless.
