Well, I was just about to pop outside with my eclipse viewing glasses, but the sun seems to have gone behind a cloud ! Typical British weather.

By the way, I thought it was not visible in the US??
And don't you even have some music CDs? Take two, hold them close to your eyes and enjoy!

Yeah, those times are from about midnight to about 6:30 in the morning here... so the sun isn't visible from the US during that time.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Weather is great, but I don't have sun staring glasses, and won't get ones. I don't think it's worth it.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Much worse than cloud cover.

Well, I managed to get a look. Pretty impressive. Venus is right on the limits of my vision, just a tiny round spec on the sun. Wow the sun is a damned big thing though !

My husband and daughter just came back from viewing it with our little telescope in a local field. The fog lifted just in time to see Venus at the very edge of the sun, they said.

I SO want Venus Williams to issue a press release denying her attempts to block the sun.
Do you want forgiveness or respect?

Hot? It's a little warmer here. Technically were having a cool spell. No clouds in the sky but i have no chance of seeing the transit. Maybe in 8 years i'll get a chance.

64 degrees Fahrenheit is bloody hot?!!

Jeez, where I am it's not predicted to get that cool even in the middle of the night, when it will be raining!
