One was parked out front, and I thought I'd share since you don't see them too often in the states.

Reminds me of a DeLorean mixed with a late 80's Buick, or perhaps it's the other way around. I dig the license plate too.

Crummy iPhone pic. Lame, I know.

No wonder they faded into obscurity for a while.

That time period really had horrible styling on almost all cars.

Wow, who knew a 70s Buick would actually be MORE attractive than an Aston Martin?

well it IS a 4-door Aston Martin !

Nowadays Aston Martin tries to enter the elite "4 door less than 5 seconds-100" market that was previously occupied only by the maserati Quattroporte. Porsche and Ferrari currently try to enter that market too you know.
I didn't know AM had tried this before.

Funny thing is, it's still worth about $33k.

They made this concept car

bulldog concept car

Then made the mistake of actually putting it into production as the lagonda.

The electrics and computerised dashboard as apparently somewhat idiosyncratic.

The Bulldog is unrelated to the Lagonda.

It also looks entirely different:

FWIW, I love the looks of the Bulldog.

They're actually better looking in person - that picture is not flattering.

ONLY by the Quattroporte? Seriously?

Never heard of the german auto industry I take it (M3, M5, RS4, S4, S8, RS6, S63, S65, CLK63, E63, R63)? or Bentley?

and Ferrari isn't making a 4 door coupe, there was a Lamborghini concept, but that's about it for the italians other than Maserati.

So, pretty much you're totally full of it, other than the fact that the Rapide and Panamera are actually on their way.

If there was ever a trendsetter for the 4 door coupe, i'd say it was the Mercedes CLS.

**** you, metric units. I was trying to think of a four door sedan that could do 0-100mph in less than 5 seconds and couldn't, so I didn't reply. But 0-100kph=0-62mph which, as you've demonstrated, isn't difficult. Even the new Taurus SHO should be close.

Even a Veyron would be very hard pressed to do 0-100mph in <5sec. I think the best anyone has been able to coax out of one is 5 flat.

The Veyron will do it in 5.5. The Ford GT does it in 7.8. A Hyabusa will do it in 5.4-5.6 seconds.

i'm not surprised bmw, audi and mercedes make 4 door cars. these are family brands that offer a few fast coupe's (for marketing purposes probably) anyway they are fast

i am surprised the exclusive brands are now exploring niches that they always considered below their standards.
a cheap ferrari dino that could directly compete with porsche.
4 door porsches and astons.
front wheeled jaguars with diesels

anyway, if you like it truly genuine get a Morgan. you can be sure you won't see that same morgan 10 years later in a lesser area in town.

When Ford had a stake in Jaguar, they made the FWD/AWD X-Type based on the Contour and Mondeo, and I believe it started around $30,000.
