[Update: Apple acknowledges issues] A range of Apple's online services are experiencing issues, with the majority of problems relating to the company's online stores. The iTunes Store, App Store, and Mac App Store are all apparently having issues loading up elements of some store pages, though the issues are also apparently affecting back-end services as well as those on the consumer side.

According to The Next Web, the TestFlight service used by developers for beta testing their apps is having problems, and the iTunes Connect app submission service is also down. Customers buying content in the store are experiencing problems doing so, but are still able to view content, while users attempting to access their account see a "Status Code Error."

The problems experienced appear to be widespread, with the US and UK store problems accompanied by reports of issues across Europe and other markets. The Apple Support forums are being flooded by reports from scores of users affected by the issues, and accessing the support pages for the iTunes Store fails to load completely.

Despite the reported complaints, the system status page for Apple Services, Stores, and iCloud show that all services are working fine, with no errors reported at the time of publication. [Update] Apple has updated its status page to show issues with the App Store, Mac App Store, iTunes Store, and iBooks Store. Under the Detailed Timeline, it notes issues with iCloud Mail and iCloud Account and Sign In, though these have apparently been fixed. The "Multiple Store Services" listing shows it as an ongoing issue.

Hmm, my wife and I independently struggled with this for a fair amount of time this morning. I was trying to update software at work and she was trying to download some new music she'd paid for before going on the treadmill. Of course the status page at Apple support showed all green across the board so I tried to report the issue and was greeted by a page saying that support was unavailable so that was down too!

Looks like they have to update the page manually where as it should be automatically. https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/

Apple's calling it an Internal DNS issue, but does not yet have a timetable for recovery.

@daqman: Apple Pay does not have any connection to Apple's servers, only between the merchant and the bank.
