Ok, this is a stupid question but I haven't found an answer yet. I bought a couple of applications which said they were "carbon" apps and work with OsX. Fine. Problem is that when I run the applications the Classic OS9 environment starts up and the application seems to be running as a classic app.
What's going on here? What is a "carbon" app buying me if it seems to run under OS9 or am I doing something wrong?

Try clicking on the program icon, and hitting cmd-I for the inspector, and see if the "Open in Classic Environment" box is checked, if it isn't, and it still opens in CLassic, the program isn't fuly carbon compliant, so check for an update
