With American Thanksgiving around the corner, I thought I'd start a topic on what we are thankful for this year.

I'm thankful that I finished my MBA degree and have had the opportunity to work abroad this year, first in Malaysia for a month and now in Canada. I have made it a point this year to work to improve myself physically and professionally.

If nothing else, I got two Thanksgivings this year, so it can't be that bad.

What are you thankful for?

I'm thankful that I was unemployed for only a month this year (so far ). I'm thankful for being able to keep my iMac and iPod after the financial challenges of this year. I'm thankful for still having a couple of marbles rolling around inside my head... As opposed to rolling around somewhere else . Uh, yeah .

This year I am especially thankful for my new baby daughter. Also for the 4 weeks I was able to take off from work to help take care of her and to prioritize my life.

I am thankful for my faith in God, a life with Jesus Christ. My freedom. My wife.

"Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never - in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense." Winston Churchill
