So I'm doing the Netflix free trial, and I order Secretary.
It arrives, I pop it in my SuperDrive, and... nothing. My eMac doesn't see it, doesn't know it's there. Doesn't even spit it out (glad I have that Eject key).
I clean it off and try again. Still nothing.
I report it as damaged & return it for a replacement.
Replacement copy arrives, and... same nothing.
Anyone else had something like this happen? Could it be some Mac-incompatible copy protection scheme?

2 different copies of "The Chronicles of Riddick" wouldn't play on my DVD player, but worked on my iMac. Same w/ a few cheesy Wu Tang $3 kung fu dvd's. No big loss.

I don't currently have a DVD player. No idea what region it was, since I couldn't access it at all.
Looks like Netflix ain't gonna get my $$ for their service.

My sister tried Netflix in the first 14-day of trial period. AFAIK, those DVDs on the mail were all original copies.
BTW, depends on the optical drive models; my Philips/Apple OEM combo drive on my G4 doesn't recognize some CDs/DVDs at all.
