I wanna cancel my order placed on Apple Online Store. I'm wondering if they will return ALL of my money back, including the SALES TAX.
I'm not familiar with those tax law stuff. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm sorry!
I posted this on a wrong forum. Should I post this on the " MacNN Lounge" child forum?

I moved it for you.

They should refund all of your money.

Sales tax is ONLY collected on a sale. If you cancel the sale, there was nothing to tax. As AKcrab says, all your money should be refunded.

Have you not cancelled the order yet? Last time I tried to change an Apple order, they had it shipped within 20 minutes of the order, so cancelling wasn't an option.

Yes, I did. I placed an order for the newest MacBook Pro which said it will be shipped in 1-3 business days, so I got time to cancel it before shipping.

The banking transaction I paid for the canceled order is still pending. Anyway, I hope I can get all my money back.

Thank you!

The transaction shown by your bank will disappear in the near future (a few days to perhaps a couple of weeks) as long as you successfully cancelled your order with Apple. It's a pending authorization that will fall off your account when it expires because Apple won't complete the charge.

If it shipped before you canceled it, call Apple. They'll either have you return it to an Apple Store (if you have one) or they'll send you a prepaid shipping box. Either way you'll get a refund so long as they get an unopened box back.

Finally refunded, today!

As Big Mac said, the pending transaction on my bank disappeared today which is two days later after I canceled the order on Saturday.

Since the money on the transaction including the sales tax, so I'm much clear that if I cancel an order successfully I won't lose a dime.

Thanks for the good advice from olePigeon.

Cheers!
