I have a TiBook, and an old style 10GB iPod. When I first linked them up, the iPod would automatically disconnect from the TiBook when itunes and it had satisfactorily synced. However, since I copied some of my friends mp3s onto his iPod for him, I has lost this automatic eject. Is there any way of getting this back?

In iTunes, open the iPod's preferences and select Automatic Sync

but that's already on - do I have to turn it off and then back on again?

I think you're actually just meant to turn off the feature that mounts the iPod as a hard drive in the Finder. It's in that same options window.
