Does Mac OS X Server have similar functionality to Windows 2000 Server's "user profiles"? Specifically, I want to be able to synchronize documents, e-mail accounts, settings, and desktops between a small network of OS X-based Macs on a central, OS X Server. I've done this with Windows 2000 Server, but I've never seen a good UNIX-based implementation of this feature.

You should be able to set up network home directories. Assuming users save documents in their home directories, things should be ok. A lot of settings are stored there as well.

Check out the OS X server admin guide, as well as the other Apple provided resources.

This might be easier in Jaguar Server with Open Directory, not sure.
