I hear a lot of people complaining about how expensive .mac is. Would it be worth the 99 dollars if you are able to download new apple releases a day before they are to be released? For example, iLife if you woulc have gotten iPhoto and iMovie Yesterday as a download because you are a member of .mac would that make it worth it for you?

Now, if Apple provided iLife, Keynote, etc. for free with a paid .Mac subscription, then that would be something.
i would probably sign up for .mac if that were the deal.

No.
Also, iLife is free except for iDVD which would be hilariously large to download. Isn't it like 2GB?

Apple will have to up the ante of value before this August if they want to get my money again, especially if it's $99 (!!). I only ponied up $49 this time because I got a bunch of free Kodak prints.
Free iApps would do it for me - give me free Apple software, the best around.

No,
I do subscribe to .mac, if I did not, I would not do so just for an early download.

I subscribe to .Mac and it is a rip-off !!
The only software that I really wanted to use was the backup, but it does not backup anything over the network and it only supports CDR and DVDR. I have my 750MB Zip, and all my files are over the network!!

I would subscribe to .mac if they provided full features to the webspace you receive. I want to run CGI, PHP, the works...
For early downloads though? Not a chance. That's like asking .mac customers test the software before everyone else.
[Edit: Yes I know no one is forced to download or test anything, what I mean is, if you put it up there the people will download it. And they'll become the bleeding edge testers. Which is fine, but if something screws up something else, it's not a very nice way to treat your customers who are paying for that service... I guess this argument doesn't hold as well as I thought it did... I still wouldn't pay for it..)
