Come on Adobe... we want the tabbed palettes in Macromedia's software.

Now imagine what it would be like if Adobe had a patent on support for a wacomtablet. Or if Apple patented presenting information on the computerscreen in windows and what if Apple patented the mouse while they're at it, and perhaps the doubleclick feature. This is so boring Adobe, don't sue your fellows Macromedia... we really need the tabbed palettes there to get rid of all the Macromedia style floating windows covering the screen.

My guess is that this won't get far in court. Most likely, the companies will settle out of court and Macromedia will have to pay Adobe a fee for using tabbed palettes in its apps or will change them just enough so that it doesn't infringe on Adobe's patent.

Now I recall seing these tabbed palettes in a lot of other apps, why not sue the whole bunch of them.
... oh well, I guess we won't have to worry for too long, as you point out.
