Is Apple the only source for a replacement macbook charger? The cat bit through the cord. Any idea what one costs? Thanks.

I believe it's $99 from Apple, and unfortunately, Apple is the only place I know of to get them.

if you have a cat that likes to bite cords it may be time for you to get a different cat.

Not my cat. Not my charger. It's the ex-wife's cat and the kid's charger, and don't get me started.

It's probably given my ex an idea. But, I'd sure splice it before I replaced it at $99, or I'd at least give it a try. You can do a pretty good job if you take your time, insulate everything well, and with some white shrink tube, you'd hardly notice it.

BTW, what story did you tell the ex about the missing cat?

Don't worry, if that cat bites into the wrong cord, he won't have to try to get rid of it
