Much of my time is focused on something I'm writing, so I don't respond to or act on private messages very often. You will have much better luck sending a message to another moderator.

which begs the question- if he is too busy with other things to properly respond to queries and issues raised by the membership, then might his position as moderator be in question?

I guess so. You are right, I shouldn't have said anything, just let PMs sit for days when I didn't have time to respond. Because, I can never take a break to do things like focus on my finals for a little over a week. I guess I should tell people that I don't respond to PMs on Saturday. Because, surely if you were in my position you would be ready to respond any day of the week.

What's gotten into the two of you?

Also, can I be moderator for a day?

Well, you already know what's up with me...

As far as being moderator for a day, sure. I'll be in my apt for a bit longer today, so just drop by before 5 and we'll get it set up.

Bastard! You knew I would get stuck driving in this ice storm. I want another chance. Maybe we can compromise and make me a deputy moderator.

If a Moderator is too busy to do as much work as they used to, and are asking people to check with another mod I don't see a problem with that. However, this entire thread is very confusing.

Sorry
SSharon knows bstone and I in real life, I'm cranky, bstone's being annoying, and cookies taste good. Ok, cookies have nothing to do with the thread, but I have a final in 10 hours that I haven't started studying for due to this book I'm trying to write that's due in 17 hours, and, I like cookies.

Now it makes more sense. I just finished my finals crunch, so I am somewhat happy (I will be more happy when I confirm that I got the grades that I think that I did). Anyway, you are right; cookies are good. Maybe someday if I ever get a real job I can buy some.

What's the point of being a mod if you don't abuse the power?

Also, scott probably wanted me to see it and I don't wake up before 3pm. except today, because apparently its only 2:53.

I would guess that, since Scott is busy for awhile, he wants to tell people that he will not have the time to do much mod stuff, so if we have a question we need to contact someone else. If this thread was not a sticky then people would forget about it (or never see it) and try to contact him; since he is one of the marketplace mods he put it here.

Being part of the "in" crowd isn't all it's cracked up to be. Afterall, I'm only two "steps" away from scotttheking.
