I wake up to hear the radio announcing that 2 of the DC metro stations are closed due to flooding, expect an extra hour commute because you have to get off and take a bus to jump those stations, and parts of the Capital Beltway are closed due to flooding.
We are getting tons of rain. After yesterday I'm not sure I even have any dry shoes left (had to go out a few times. On my bike). Oh yeah, I still have to bike to the metro station so I can get to work.

Crap!

Pics?

It's started raining today here as well, after weeks of sunshine - my shoes are soaked. It figures: Wimbledon starts today.

I'm trying to remember if April showers came in June last year, too.

Are we in another El NiƱo?

Yes, because the worst flood in recorded US history was caused by the evils of global warming...

Floods happen. It's nature. Quit trying to connect every weather phenomenon to global warming.

Im at my parents house right now in NOVA, and this rain is redonkulous. Last nights rain flooded more than I've ever seen, except for hurricane related floods.

Same here... I ride a bus [buses were running oddly as well] to the pentagon... what a nightmare. 15+ people deep upon entering the station. Ugh... I wasn't happy. After making it to Foggy Bottom, the train told everyone to get off [even though they had been saying it would go 3 more stops].

Sometimes Metro is really disappointing.

Boston's average rainfall for a year is around 40"

So far in May and June we've gotten 21".

I'm really glad I live near the coast, or flooding would be a huge concern for me.

Hey Scott. Looks like a left the area at a good time. I'm sure I will get some interesting weather in long island before too long though.

BTW, how is the apt/roommate search going?
