If he doesn't want to buy anything more from Apple, then the $80 cash is more valuable than an unusable $100 gift card. not saying that this deal isn't fishy, but I would probably sell mine if I was an early adopter.

also, if you buy things from the apple store, you're guaranteed to pay tax (with 2-3 exceptions), but with amazon, no tax for many people.
also, i would be wary and ask for references because the seller is using an anonymous hotmail account, and this "FS" thread is his/her only post in the forum and only joined during the month of september. newbies deserve a chance, since we all started somewhere, but it is always good to be cautious.

how can I verify that its good? Will it work within the education store because I am a college student? Does it have an expiration date?
