If it's like Tuesday, should be good.

kb, I'll probably be on earlier than 10, keep an eye out if you're not already playing.

I miss him too, but after the hell I went through trying to get on a normal schedule after spending the holidays going to bed between 4-6 am (Lots of sleeping right after work until 11pm or later), I'm happy to be on a conservative, but normal schedule.

2 down, 3 to go (Mansion, Subway, Tyro Station). Looks like Horde is gonna take a few weeks to complete, like my Insane Campaign.

---

sek, you I should try out Wingman some time, if you think you can take the frustration. I mean, we should be able to steal at least 1 game out of 20.

Seems our stats from the Annex game did go through last night.

For kb and stogie's consumption:

I'm particularly amused that in nearly 23 minutes I used less than 15 seconds of cover. I find cover to be a detriment to both mobility and field of vision, and not very useful unless you're actually in a shoot-out.

Hey. How are all of you doing? Playing Gears 2 still, I see. Cool. I still don't have a PC version. And now I can't even play the first.

Is The PC Version of 'Gears of War' Locking People Out?

You can check Epic's forums too. Its insane. They said they're fixing it, at least, but they've given us crap for support, so I'm not expecting them to try and hurry at all.
I have returned... 2020 MacBook Air - 1.1 GHz Quad-Core i5 - 16 GB RAM

Epic's support sucks. But in 3 years will this entire debacle effect Gears 3 sales? I doubt it.

Good meet-up last night guys. Too bad Fatty joined us late and missed out on the achievement. Maybe we can meet-up again today and help him out on the final two maps. Unfortunately my brother won't be able to join us tonight. Remember, he's going to a Sharks game with my dad tonight. They're playing the Blackhawks and he got front row seats behind the Sharks bench.

Yea good meet up for sure, glad we got to knock out that achievement, too bad the power hour put fatty out of the game till late but its a worthwhile excuse. Unfortunately i'm unavailable tonight, but if you guys want to help fatty knock that out go to town.

It's a pain in the ass to get the camera to A. Be high enough and B. stay put while panning. I like the idea of taking pics while the game is going on, but the silly limitations they put on camera movement is beyond me.

If we got 4 then I'll be on around the same time (little past 11) if not, I'll still be on for a little matchmaking. Last night's first match was a Warzone battle that took all 9 rounds, well 8.9 rounds. We were down by three rounds early on, we battled back to tie it up and were well on our way to seize the final round. Host quits. In fact the connection to the host was lost on easily 60%+ of the matches I played last night.

That's what I was implying with forever. I might add that having the "shoot picture" with the melee button wasn't very wise, either.

Things I learned last night:
• Finishing a kill makes you a homosexual
• Having a kill 'stolen' makes you a gigantic d-bag

And, man, was I a ghost of my usual self last night.

Nevermind that it's the point total and not the amount of kills you get that determine your rank.

In other news my last game of the night turned into my finest performance in days, especially since I was the lowest ranked person in the game.

That was mostly due to my mastery of the melee/shotgun combo that's all the rage these days.

I considered that, but how does it work spread around 7 game types? As it is, we're on virtually equal footing on one execution or warzone.

I been meaning to ask, though, what's the deal with that gun you were hot for a few nights back?

The revolver (i have no idea what it's actual name is) is a downing machine! If someone stands still enough to get two direct shots they'll end up crawling on the ground. Makes an excellent mid range support weapon and deters people more so than Lancer fire.

Not to mention if you are lucky enough to pull off a head shot it'll explode their head without a problem.

Two direct shots where?

I know I tried the Hammerburst for a game or two, but after doing 3 body shits the ****er was still standing. Whether that's because it's underpowered or lag is irrelevant, because either way, I'm not going to be able to get **** down with it.

Near head level. Three shots anywhere else will still bring them down.

Tac/Com, lets you see where your buddies are.

A game that certainly has way to many functions for a 360 controller is GTA IV.

Ha, I do use that a lot, but I don't realize it's there.

Y should be remapped to one of the sticks. It doesn't do anything but special executions, right?

AFAIK, yes, Y doesn't have any other function than the 'beatdown' execution.

Minor update:
Hey all,

I wanted to let you know that we just made a tweak to help with two-piecing. We didn't want to nerf the attacker as that seems unfair so instead we reduced the melee stagger recovery time a tiny bit. This creates a small window in which the defender can now evade away from the attacker before being shotgunned. Obviously evading perpindicular is always the best choice.

Anyway, give it a try and let us know what you think!

Thanks,

Rod.
