help hooking G4 up to TV for DVD's

can anyone tell me if and/or how i hook my G4 up to my TV so i can watch DVD's on it instead of the monitor??? Anything would be apreciated!!!

You need a scan converter. Focus Enhancements makes some excellent ones:

Or you can use Wired Inc.'s Wired4DVD PCI card which will allow for the same thing, but imo it's overkill and pricey ($250-$300).

Or if you're really desperate and want an upgrade anyway, get a video card with TV-out.
I'm nut sure if the Radeons support this, but it rings a bell...

I think this card also acts as a hardware based MPEG 2 decoder as well so the decoding doesnt have to be done in software like it does now. Although the ATI Rage 128 Pro may do some of the decoding - I doubt it though. Hardware based decoding is very nice if it works smoothly.

Anyone know the details of the ATI and decoding MPEG 2?
