Well, it is turning on, but it is getting hung up trying to load the system. You need to boot off of your install CD and run Disk Utility, Repair Disk. You are looking to see if there are directory problems that can be fixed.

You can also try to restart holding shift key .... sometime some startup program is locked up!

Had this happen to my powerbook. I used techtool pro to repair the directory on the hard drive.
It had somehow become corupt. It just sat on the grey screen forever. Ran TechTool pro and it works now.
