Something very strange is happening with font in dashboard ..see image.
This is only a problem with widgets ..nowhere else..
It looks like its using another font instead of OSX default ..
Does anyone know how to resolve this?
Thanks guys..

This happened to me once, and it was because a font had become uninstalled. Go into Font Book and make sure all of your fonts are there.

Helvetica is the problem area. This happened on my machine. I had some other user versions of helvetica that, once disabled, fixed the issue.

How did it come to this? Goodbye PowerPC. | sensory output

It was some other Helvetica Neue fonts that were causing the problem....once removed..the problem was gone.

I am having a similar problem, but in my Dashboard (clean install of Leopard) it is the Weather widgets that are showing the incorrect font.

Exactly how do I resolve this? How do I know which font to delete?

Thanks guys.

So I have a Condensed and Black that are part of the Helvetica Neue font. I should delete these? Font Book lists two main Helvetica fonts, each of which has different variations.

What I don't understand is that this is a clean install of Leopard and I did not install any additional fonts from other developers. I never fiddle with Font Book.

Thanks for the help guys.

This isn't a Leopard issue, it happens in Tiger as well.
