How can you view pdfs with iTouch using safari while offline?

I posed this question in this forum before and only got only one response, which was to use a little app called filemarkmaker. It's a cool app and was working until I synced my music to the itouch (a little over 6 gigs) and now whenever I open safari itouch freezes and restarts. So not only can't I view the pdfs, but i can't even browse the web. I have a strong feeling it's because if the app.

So I pose the question again, seeking alternatives to using filemarkmaker, or any other smart ideas about how to fix what's going on with my itouch.

Also, take into consideration that my itouch is jailbroken. Might that be a factor in the malfunction?

All pertinent thoughts are welcome

Thanks.

I just want to chime in and say that unless Safari on your iPod touch is set to open that pdf every time it starts, I doubt that filemarkmaker affected it.
I have quite a few pdfs on my iPhone that I created with that app and have never had any issues.

What if you install a Finder-type-app on your jailbroken iPod and then use that to browse to a pdf that you copy to your iPod. Will it open?

It won't open. It'll just go to the home screen.

You're right. It was stuck on the pdf - that's why it froze every time. But I couldn't do anything about it because it froze every time I opened it, so I had to restore the firmware which removed the jailbreak.

After restoring the firmware and trying filemark again, safari just crashes when opening a pdf.

I have this feeling that filemark maker works well with either small file sizes or specifically with the iphone. Either way, it doesn't seem to work for me, because I use itouch my pdfs are ebooks ranging from 2 to 6 megs.

because it sucks. you can't have landscape view and it pixelizes the text when you scroll.

But I think I got things straightened out with filemark maker. some pdfs work and some just make it crash. Also, the smaller the pdf the better.
