So, I updated iTunes on my iMac and, holy cow, Apple practically doubled the size of the mini player. Used to be a time developers worked to take up as little screen real estate as possible. Guess those days are long gone.

Messages is the same. There no good reason for it to be so friggin huge.

I figured it would resize, but the minimum size has indeed jumped bigger. It also has a positioning bug. Place the miniplayer at the bottom of your screen, then turn on the "show next" option. It gets taller. Turn off "show next", it returns to previous size and position. So far so good.

However, if you do the same thing (on/off) with "show large artwork" it gets bigger as expected. But while it shrinks back when you turn artwork off, it shrinks the wrong way, leaving it well off the bottom of the screen.

Another bug I've found with the mini player is the little X in the upper left corner (that you click to expand back to the full-size window) randomly disappears. When it goes missing, the only way to bring it back is to do something like click on the "Up Next" button or expand the mini player to show the artwork, then shrink it back down.

I see im not the only one that went ? when i saw the new player lol. #mini. Im sure they are fixing bugs as we move along.
