I just got a new powerbook and it is doing all sorts of weird things. Whenever I move a window of ANY program more than an inch or so on the screen the whole computer freezes. The visualizer in iTunes also freezes the system. Also, resizing a window any significant amount makes the system freeze. Any ideas? This is a MOST ANNOYING problem! I am running 10.1.5.

Videosubsystem (GPU or VRAM) seems bad. Turn it back to the shop. They should care about.....

Your book is not running at specs. Please call AppleCare or better yet, just take the unit into an Apple Authorized service center.

Seems like it's clearly a hardware issue... in any case it's brand new, it doesn't work, take it back.
Also, a word of advice: Wait 15 minutes, and try to compose one well thought out post instead of 3/4 back to back posts which each tell part of the story. Just makes things confused. Also, if nobody answers at 2-3am, it's probably because we are all asleep!
I understand you're freaked out about the 'Book, I would be too!

I called Apple this morning and they have no idea what the problem is either since the Video Ram checked out fine! I am sending it off to them tomorrow and they are going to take care of it or replace it.
Sorry about all the posts, I was exhausted and extremely stressed out because I spent $3,000 on a computer that is hardly usable! I kept posting because I kept thinking of things to do by looking up more info and calling friends. Oh well! Thanks everyone.
