I have DSL connection with 10 user names and passwords.
It's a pain to log in and out to from one to the other.
What I'd like to do is have an icon for each user.
Can apple script run from this I con and automatically fill in the user name and password to log in???

I would be grateful for any ideas .
thanks Fred

I can't say how to do it; but you might look at www.macscripter.net for hints and try their BBS too. A good resource to script with. I know it can be done, but don't have the skill (well give me a couple of minutes with "AppleScript in a Nutshell" and I could tell you probably. It's a great resource for scripting and also for interaction between AppleScript and the CLI).

What program do you use to log on to your DSL? You might want to open Script Editor and use the "Open Dictionary" command on that program to see what commands it supports. If it is possible, it will probably be fairly clear how to do it from the dictionary. If the program isn't scrpitable, then it probably isn't possible to do this with AppleScript, and you might want to consider a macro program.
