Here an interesting 9to5Mac story concerning a possible new Apple external display.
I can't even begin to imagine what Apple would charge for such a thing, especially at that size.

Are there other mini-LED screens already on the market?

I mean, that's nice and all... but I wish Apple would spend more time trying to cater to their more mainstream audience and less time trying to push the engineering envelope just to prove they can...

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

No. There are others working on it so Apple may not be first, but there are none out yet.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

Because Apple is notorious for pricing things competitively.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Apple wouldn't sell a 31" 6k display for less than $2999.

Agree. Original Cinema Display cost $3299.
