Here's the situation... I have a 667 (original model, DVD-ROM drive, VGA port) with a retail 10.2 installation on the drive, along with all my files. I have bought a new 667 DVI, and my old 667 will be passed on to a co-worker.

Question: can I simply pull the old 667's drive out and drop it into my new machine (to avoid having to reinstall a bunch of stuff, and copy all my files over)? I guess my main concern would be the newer video hardware on the DVI machine.

Anyone have a definitive answer on this before I start experimenting?

Thanks!

Thanks... oh, and please reply with your full name and address so I can file a lawsuit against you just in case it doesn't work.
