Hi I was wondering if someone knows how to manually start a StartupDaemon that is not automatically loading at boot.

I am trying to get qmasterd running. I recently did a software update and the update for Pro Apps has caused Compressor to stop working....and I think the issue is qmaster.

Qmaster is either not loading or it is crashing after it loads because I don't see any processes with 'qmaster'

/Library/LaunchDaemons doesnt have anything executable...just preference files. That may be what I need, I just don't know how to use that.....my knowledge of unix is limited. thanks

You can also try reinstalling the update too.

Good idea.....I am not sure how to do that. I downloaded the update via Software Update....is the updater still saved on my hard drive? Unfortunately I am not even sure what exactly was updated as I didn't pay attention to Software Update and just hit OK,

Get it from Apple. It's no longer on your computer and SU won't download it again.
