Aimster has always been a little quirky but it usually works OK on a basic level (i.e. forget the buddy list and resuming downloads)
Lately, the aimster network has really crapped out and I'm looking for an alternative program to use so I can do searches for mp3s, mpg, mov, jpgs etc.
I don't want to use gnutella or limewire etc.
thanks

Hey, BigMark, I think you're outta luck here. Unfortunately, LimeWire, Aimster, and MacSatellite don't work as well as they did when they first came out.
Just deal with it... It's one of the... 'perks' of being a Mac user.

Thanks for the reply. Perhaps we can look forward to seeing an industrial-strength peer-to-peer program on Mac OS X sometime in the future. If not, then I'll just have to write one in Cocoa...
BTW, it looks like kazaa.com has removed the use of its service for Mac users. Its now only usable using its proprietary application.
