I've gotten four emails from professors this weekend. As a result I have 300% more homework than I did on Thursday. Do these people have lives? Before there was email, how did they make it? Assign homework in class? That'd be a novelty now.

Anyway. I need to not have Mail open while I'm doing the homework that I already have.

College before email was a LOT more work. With the internet you can do your research before you leave home, instead of looking through library card files or a limited database at the library. We didn't have texting either, or cell phones. If you had a question for your professor you had to wait for his half hour a week of office hours which conflicted with your other classes. Walk through three feet of snow up hill both ways bare foot.

Had better looking chicks who didn't bore you with telling you how many new "friends" they made on MySpace/Facebook that day.

Let's not forget the handful of cold gravel they used to serve for lunch in the canteen, RR.

How did you manage to get more work assigned through email on a weekend, mitch? That sounds quite ridiculous.

My biology professor assigns us homework online... normally she promises to have it up right after class (which is Tuesday and Thursday). But I checked Thursday and Friday, no homework. Then she sent an email out at 7:00 last night saying that our homework was finally online... It's not a huge deal for me since I'm not doing anything this weekend, but it certainly would have been nice to have on Thursday.

Is it an online course? Even then there's usually an syllabus with a clear outline of what you're going to be getting.

No, in class. The syllabus has homework due dates, but the actual assignments are put up whenever the teacher feels like it.

I have two online classes (which is A LOT more work than my normal classes) and my actual physical classes have homework that is assigned online. They are all my 3000 & 4000 level classes. When I was doing core I rarely had online tests/quizes/homework.
