Are there any Bandwidth Monitoring programs out there? I'm looking for something I can run on my Slow OS X Server. It doesn't have a lot of power to begin with, so I'd like something thats very "lite". Plus a nice viewing interface, like a web interface, with graphs etc. That would be nice. Stats and stuff too. Also hella stable, as my server has been running for 23 days as of me typing this, and I'd hate to have to restart that :-)

if you know some perl.. you can have it make some graphs for you i bet...
i post the perl if intersted.

You might want to look into
Webalizer
There's probably an os x build, if not I doubt it would be too difficult to get it to compile.

Yeah but I've been paying close attention, and perl scripts really bog down my server, its only a 225 MHz 604e, thats why I'd rather a true program.

I'm looking for bandwidth stats, not web server stats.

MRTG - http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/
It is perl-based, but it's very lightweight and creates great-looking graphs of bandwidth usage from any SNMP-enabled device (in fact, it can graph any SNMP variable).
You can run it on your machine with no problem. You won't even notice it's there.

MRTG and the like will calculate bandwidth of the overall connection, but not that of individual virtually hosted domains.
I, too have created Perl scripts in which to do this.

I downloaded MRTG and tried to compile it, but doing so is way beyond me. I'm a mac user, not a unix guy. Is there an easier way? Or a similar program that comes with an installer anywhere?

You could use fink to install mrtg, it's currently available as an installable package...

Here is a link to fink. It is a project that ports Unix open source software to Mac OS X. The great thing about it is that once fink is installed, you can install any of the packages it supports simply by typing fink install [name of package]. Fink will then download all the necessary files & compile them as necessary...
