I've listed all accounts that shared an IP with marden. Just to put speculations to rest: it's not his account and I hope me listing his other aliases put this endless and tiresome discussion `marden = abe = aberdeenwriter' to rest.

Hmm two people hide behind nicks.

One person gets ALL their accounts listed on this forum. Even made fun of a little bit for it. Wasn't even asked if it was ok.

But another member gets to remain anonymous and is let "To come forward either private or publicly" that it is his/her decision. And their wishes to remain anonymous are granted.

This is the non-consistancy I am referring to. Different rules for different people.

No, I don't. The issue has been taken care off by another mod, so I won't interfere.

Also there were no harmful remarks in threads in which the person behind The Left has posted (which you have rightfully complained about in marden's case). So I was hoping you'd read this differently: I'm defending marden by telling everyone he's not behind this one. And I was making sure that people who have discussions about marden instead of with him can now be reprimanded. Otherwise suspicions would continue and derail future threads. Now, mods can tell people to cut it out when they bring up the old topic of marden's alter egos -- something that isn't the case here. In my opinion, the two cases are different.

So I'm puzzled as to why I should apologize to marden when I clearly said, he didn't do it. I could've said nothing earlier, too, and let suspicions mount again and again.

When someone asked who marden was you posted this. After said person made it clear he didn't want anyone knowing.

My Moderator Control Panel tells me that the following users all have used the same IP as marden to post: abe, aberdeenwriter, marden, mojo2, reddirtgirl (who TH is reddirtgirl?). Coincidence?

When we asked who TheLeft was we got this

Well that is good and all, but he also gave OTHER accounts we didn't know was marden.

Either way, it's just more examples of two different people getting different treatment.

What is stopping the poster of "TheLeft" from doing it again?

We get it, people don't like marden.

That doesn't mean he should be treated differently. Hell I have no problems with giving out such info with people hiding behind other nicks.

There is no reason TheLeft should be protected when others aren't.

My issue isn't with marden's outage.

But with why are they protecting the person hiding behind "TheLeft" when others don't get such protection?
