I had it 76+K miles. Not a single issue.

4x4 4-door with towing package and nearly every option available.

I still had the original tires and brakes when I sold it and they both had at least 10k of life left on them. I drove it 90% of the time on the expressway or highway.

I miss it sometimes, but I don't miss the mileage. Around 17-19. I eeeeked out 21 mpg one time on a long trip. It had lots of power and plenty of towing ability.

I got rid of it only because I wanted a car with better mileage. That's when I got the Cavalier. It gets 32-34 mpg.

I hope your Sonoma is build as well.

along with oreo, i've had only one car. it's a black 2005 pontiac vibe base model. awesome little car that can store everything I need for gigs when I'm at home. and with a 30 mile per gallon city and 36 mile per gallon on the freeway. saves on the gas money.

I am buying this one with 61K miles on it, but it's a beaut. 4x4 SLS extra-cab, with the heavy duty suspension, rear locking diff, 4.3l V6, 4 wheel discs and ABS.

After doing much research, I found that the reliability was right up there with Tacoma, only losing points for ride quality and interior finish....worthless points for me since it will be my work vehice...as long as it runs I'm happy. I wish I was able to find a 4-cyl 4x4 for gas mileage reasons, but if I get near 19 then I'm happy (though pickups have way more drag than an SUV)

Thanks for the info

I am very excited...the only thing is winter is ending here, and I might not have a chance to "test" the 4x4 aspect

You don't need snow, just mud. Find an old country path and let it fly!

Even more interesting that that: Honda made a motorcycle (for years and years) that they marketed in the U.S. as the "Passport." My wife and I each had one; 73 screaming CCs of power, baby! Ours were sunshine yellow (and we had matching helmets, too).

Later, they marketed an SUV built by Isuzu (their Rodeo) they also called a Passport.

What a contrast!

It varies from state to state. Generally, 16 is the driving age. A few years ago, the last time I checked, there were places that would allow a learner's permit to 14 year olds. Some states require people to be 18 to have a license. In some states, many people of any age can drive farm equipment for short distances on public roads. It is rather confusing, really.

1976 Saab 99GL
1981 Buick Skylark
1966 Dodge Coronet 440
1983 BMW 520i
1984 BMW 325e

I'm thinking the next one may be a 2003 or 2004 Mercedes E-500, but that is probably a year or two down the pike.

IIRC, that Comet was sister/cousin to the Ford Falcon.

My short list (I'm 39):
1983 SAAB Turbo Sedan
1988 Ford Festiva (similar to the Mazda 121--made by Kia)
1993 Ford Escort GT
1996 Ford Escort LX
2002 Ford Focus SE Wagon (my wife's)

I drive the car she owned when we met in 1998: 1997 GMC Sonoma
I am stupidest when I try to be funny.

You may be right; the '62 was very similar to the Falcon, but with fancier interior and different head- and taillights. I don't recall seeing the two side-by-side, but I DID park our '73 Comet next to a '73 or '74 Maveric once; it was quite a sight!
