It just seems to me like a horrifically risky way of decorating your body. I mean, I'm into body modification and all, but would I risk blindness for it? Nope.

I am happy with the body and eyes I was given. I've never felt the need to punch holes in, or scar it.

I have a different manufacturer's version of these that I bring out for Halloween, but mine are a bit whiter than these:

It's great fun to look like you don't have a costume until someone makes eye contact. Really easy to freak people out.

You couldn't pay me to have a foreign object implanted in my eye. That's beyond revolting.

Contacts are one thing, implanted metal objects are another. Think how annoying it would be to have something in your eye all the time!

Anesthetic would make it painless but to be honest it looks a tad stupid. That and my eyes are not something I'll take even the smallest chance with.

It's become clear to me that Amsterdam needs to begin enforcing its drug laws.

I believe so. They just don't enforce them.

Along with plenty of other laws. Hence a great deal of organized crime.

Yes, there are drug laws in the Netherlands. Plenty..

As for the eye jewelry? I want one! Although I am not down with having a heart or a rainbow in my eye. I want something along the lines of "If you can read this, you're standing too close"

Sight is a precious gift. I can't imagine anyone wanting to risk that gift. The picture indicates irritation to the eye mucous membrane already r/t the increase of surface blood vessels. Vanity is they name.

I noticed that too... I wonder if this was a pic from after the surgery or much later. I bet those people go blind. Crazy I tell you!

I would worry less about the short term effects and consider the long term...

3-10 years with a piece of metal in your eye... even if it's surgical steal, there are no guarantees...

What's next, brain piercing?

Brain piercing? No.

But having a glass skull showing off your brain might be cool.

Hahaha, some blacklight bulbs placed carefully around the cortex that light up when you think of certain things, I can see it now, tricking out your brain is going to be cool some day.

But seriously, I'd get a number of body mods, but when it comes to my eyeballs, I'll keep them au natural. As a sidenote, if I see anyone with those here in the US I will promptly punch them in the face.

No need to punch them, just wait around until their eye rots out!

Yeah really, man, I wouldn't even like putting contacts in, touching my own eye is not something I can do easily, and these people got surgery on it TO PUT A STUPID CHARM IN IT...

What happens when your eye itches, and you go to rub it, thereby forcing a piece of metal deep into your cornea?
No thank you!
