LG has unveiled its 2015 lineup of LED projectors it will be shipping to the United States starting this month. The four projectors are led by the PF1500, a television replacement which offers a resolution of 1920x1080 at a brightness of up to 1,400 lumens with a maximum screen size of 120 inches, while the remainder are lower-resolution devices that are lightweight and even more compact.
Weighing 3.3 pounds, the PF1500 includes a 3W stereo audio system, though it can connect over Bluetooth to an external speaker. Wireless and wired mirroring of a smartphone, tablet, or computer's display is capable, and
it also includes Smart TV functionality, streaming content from online providers including Netflix, YouTube, and Hulu Plus, along with access to social networks and music services.
LG PF1500 Portable LED Projector
The 1280x800 PW800 Smart Minibeam Projector boasts a brightness of 800 lumens and a screen size of up to 100 inches, along with a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours. Weighing 1.3 pounds and measuring 5.5 inches square by 2 inches thick, it houses stereo 1W speakers, a similar wireless mirroring function to the PF1500, and a digital TV tuner.
LG PW800 Portable LED Projector
Moving down to 720p, the PH300 Minibeam LED Projector offers 300 lumens and a lighter weight of 0.95 pounds, while keeping the same image size, speakers, lifespan, and digital TV tuner as the PW800. While it doesn't do wireless mirroring, it does include wired mirroring, and it includes a battery said to provide it up to two and a half hours of power.
LG PH300 Portable LED Projector
Lastly, the PV150G Minibeam Nano Projector is a minuscule 4.25 inches by 4 inches by 1.7 inches, weighing 0.6 pounds. Offering 100 lumens of brightness at a WVGA resolution, it still has a 30,000 lifespan, includes wireless mirroring, and can generate an image up to 100 inches in size. While it does only include a single 1W speaker, it retains it's digital TV tuner, and also has a two-hour battery life.
Going on sale soon through major US retailers, the PF1500 will cost $1,000, the PW800 $600, the PH300 will be $450, and the PV150G $350.
