Now that my 24" iMac is on its way, I was thinking about mounting it on a reticulating arm off the desk. The mount is $29, but has anyone found a good arm for the 24" or any other new iMac?

I like the one in the picture on the Apple Store but can't find it.

Ok... here is the one I found.

LCD Monitor Arm for Apple Cinema 30" Monitors #7517-1500

They say it works with the 24" iMac. I think I am in.

Don't forget the VESA adapter from the Apple store. You can't just screw a mount onto the back. You have to take out the stand and replace it with the adapter to enable VESA mounting.

Done and done.

I ordered both the Vesa mount (4-6 weeks BOOO!) and the LCD monitor arm.

Should be fun.

If you don't want to wait that long for your vesa mount, you might want to check with Compusa if you have one around, they usually have the vesa mounts for the imac in stock

You might have to wait a month, but they will come.

wow, that arm looks giant! would you mind providing a review of how it looks, works and fits when you get it? pics would be great too. i want to do the same thing, but after seeing how big the 24" imac is and then that arm.... i think it would look out of place on my desk (which has a good amount of room mind you. thanks.

The Vesa mount is not supposed to ship till Oct. I will call the local Apple Store's and see if they have it so I can pick it up early.

The arm and iMac should be hear next week.

I will try to do some before and after pictures so everyone can see what it looks like.
