How-to: Creating ringtones with fade-in/fade-out

After seeing that ringtones bought at the iTunes store can be faded-in and faded-out, I thought that would be a cool thing to add to my own custom ringtones. Keep in mind, this will only work with firmware 1.0.2 until Ambrosia figures out a way to get iToner to work with 1.1.1.
- Trim audio track in Quicktime Pro to 30 sec (or however long it takes to get to voicemail for you).
- Export song as AIFF.
- Import song into iTunes, convert it to mp3 or AAC, and find the file in the Finder.
- Drag the trimmed AAC or mp3 file into a new GarageBand project.
- Under the track name in GarageBand, click the down arrow to reveal the track volume control (it's next to the lock button).
- Drag the volume level down to the minimum (-144 dB) at the start and the end. Pull the volume back up to 0 dB (or higher if you want a louder ringtone) for where you want the fade in to end and the fade out to begin.
- To export the ringtone, select "Export to Disk..." from the "Share" menu.
- Drag exported ringtone into iToner. That's it!
