How do I get that iChat bubble out of my menu bar?

Hi,
I signed on to iChat (I'm no AIM user -- only MSN because I use it at work). At any rate I tinkered for a while and don't really care to use it.
When I sign out of (and quit) iChat, though, the bubble is still in my menu bar... greyed out.
There's also a process (iChatAgent) running in the background... no need for that, thankyouverymuch.
I can't find an option to turn this off... anyone know how to do this?
Thanks.

Hold down Command and drag it out of the menubar.

Heh. Okay, gone. But that doesn't kill the agent. I just killed it via 'kill'... hopefully it won't come back at startup...
Thanks.

did you bother to check the iChat preferences? It's right under the Accounts; the very last box.

Hmmm.
Okay so I unchecked both of those... and when I quite I have nothing in the menu bar. But now, iChatAgent is still running. WTF?
Maybe it's a bug. I'd expect the agent should quit running when I exit iChat?
