Whenever I click someone's email adress, Gmail automatically pops-up in Safari so I can compose a message. Just curious how Mac recognize I use Gmail as my default email?

Have you set it as your default email reader?

I think the OP means how does Mail know to use that gmail account as the default account. It's either set in Mail's preferences or Address Book.

Yes I do have google notifier. That must be it. Nice! I just thought it was very cool how it would recognize it but I guess it was something as simple as installing the notifier. LOL
