I had this idea from that other thread, but I believe that this subject matter warrants its own thread.
What tasty foods have you seen or created that are made in under 10mins or less (preferably under 5mins or less) for those on the go?
I like to slightly overcook top ramen and add 1-2 scrambed/over easy eggs on top with a splashing of ketchup. Time ~ 5mins.

Sounds interesting but very unhealthy. High in fat, sodium and ketchup doesn't count as a vegetable.

Hey, it doesn't need to be healthy to qualify. Post away ideas!

steamed rice+frozen veg+can of tuna. easy. just make sure you put the frozen veg in whent the rice is about half way cooked. I normally put some cracked peper and some sauce with it. Great on a cold day.

The Mastrap and Peter dishes sound delicious. Thanks.
Udon noodles w/ some shelled edamame, a little soy and some rice seasoning.
Sounds crazy and I thought so too at first: sliced dill pickle and PB sandwich. Savory.

Udon noodles rock.
I wouldn't recommend cooking Mastrap with Peter.

Home made hummus.
1 can of chickpeas
2 cloves of garlic
lemon juice
olive oil
2 teaspoon tahini (sesame paste)
A dash of smoked paprika
Blitz in blender to desired consistency. Add some water if too thick. Eat with fresh, warm bread.

I don't know that I've ever had udon noodles. I don't eat Asian food much, because my wife doesn't like it.
I'm guessing these noodles "require" some type of broth? Anyone have any quick recipes I could try?

BBQ Pork Buns (Bao). 1 minute in the microwave. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Pfft, that's nothing. Here's what I call The Heart Stopper:
2 Tiña's Burritos (or your favorite brand of microwave burrito)
Microwave for 2 minutes
Pan fry in extra virgin olive oil until brown and crispy
Layer with cheese and melt until it's all gooey
Smother with Ranch dressing
Guaranteed to make your heart skip at least 1 beat, but man, it's worth it.
(It's amazing what you come up with when you're a poor college kid. This tasty artery blockers costs about a buck.)

Now for two of my favorites:
Tortellini (meat, cheese, and/or vegetable)
Asparagus or sliced Brussels sprouts
Sauté in a little butter & extra virgin olive oil, with rosemary, garlic, and fresh parmesan cheese. Yes, you cook it with the parmesan.
And one of my favorite sandwiches:
Rosemary Baguette
Olive oil or light mayonnaise
Pepperoni
Swiss Cheese
Avocado
Tomato
Whole peppercini on the side

I rip open a Power Bar. Or a Cliff bar, if available.

That's not that bad. I would ditch the Ramen and get Yaku soba noodles instead. A fraction of the fat.
And for the love of all that is good and right in the world, ditch the Ketchup and use an Ochatsuke mix (powdered flavored Japanese soup mix)
or rip open a Powerbar...

hardboil a half dozen eggs and keep them in the fridge, just don't peel them until you plan on eating them, they'll keep longer that way. Eat 1 or 2 when you feel peckish or smash them up with some mayo, salt, and dill.

A hot dog with grated cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla. Pop it in the microwave, or for an extra special delicacy pan fry it in butter.

Frozen waffles are my main mode of sustenance. If I'm out, choices default to cold cereal or ice cream.
I'm possibly the only girl on the planet who eats like a 22-year-old bachelor.

I take offense to that. I "gorge" maybe once every week or two when I'm hanging out with friends. Besides that, I eat a lot of veggies, rice, chicken, and pasta, and I've cut my red meat intake to very very little.

There aren't too many dishes that I regularly make that would take less than 10 minutes. I tend to make a giant pot of something on the weekend that lasts me through the week, so all I have to do most days is stick something in the microwave for a few minutes.
