We had a girl walk into the Tech Office that needed help with her PC laptop, she had no idea about computers at all!

To give an idea of how computer friend she was, we needed to install Firefox to try and figure her web issue. We told her we were installing another web browser. Her answer was, "There's another Internet? How do I connect to that one? (She only used the "E" icon ... IE Browser)

Also she asked why she can't get on the wireless at home.... there's internet at home but everyone has it locked "what would the password be? I tried 1-10, all 1's, all 9's etc without luck. How do I get that fixed?" ... our answer .... you don't !!!! You pay for it !!!!

The last comment I tried not to laugh! While still in the office waiting for Firefox to install she noticed a few different "Mac OS X" boxes on the shelf & she asked .... "The box with the big X on it, is that the user manual for Windows for girls?"

WOW.... just wow!!!

You have to wonder if she was the one trying not to laugh. Girls are smarter than boys.

She was probably making herself out to be utterly stupid so you geek boys wouldn't hit on her. Girls do that kind of thing when confronted by the lower classes.

I think you severely overestimate the standards for geeks.

If this is a geek we're talking about, would that be 2.5" hard drive?

I thought people with anything floppy (or was it floopy) in their possession needed more Italian TV?

Yes, but we're not talking about people in this thread, are we? We're talking about geeks, not people.

Fair enough. But you told besson he needed more Italian TV, and he's a geek, right? Or are you the only "person" (by your definition) in this thread? I'm not sure I count as one since I like fat birds. Or more generally, I prefer my women (thin or fat) to be nerds like myself, so that still counts me out.

It's been my profound experience to learn that the dumbest chicks are usually the hottest and they do everything. True, many may act dumb to use or take advantage of services rendered gratis - but to the trained eye, those are too easy to pick out. It's all in the eyes. Look for that pretty vacant look. A flashlight shone through the auditory canal may also reveal an empty cranium. Like this girl may have:

Everyone needs more Italian TV. But geeks additionally require spam sprinkled liberally on top.

I just love the notion that she thinks the'd be a separate manual for girls. As if interacting with a computer somehow related to what's between your legs.

Considering the economics that drove the internet, I'd say that for a whole lot of people, interacting with a computer is ALL ABOUT what's between their legs.

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a joke or if you honestly think I'm a chick.

I didn't think it was necessary to point that out.
I would know if you were a gay chick.

She also used to be straight and fervently anti-gay.
