Everyone is aware that Aug. 8th is going to be a very big deal for Apple and of course all of us. I've spent countless nights thinking what is going to be released, but I want to know what you guys think...

What is Jobs going to have in his magic bag of goodies.
-New iPod?
-Mac Pro (thats a given)
-New Mac Mini?
-New ACDs?

I'm betting on:
-iPod Nano G2
-Minor price/performance upgrades to existing yonah macs
-I don't think there will be any new ACDs, but if there were the only improvement would be a built in iSight.

My picks:
1. Power Macs - mos def
2. Merom-based MacBook Pros
3. iTunes movie subscriptions
4. Maybe new Nanos with larger capacity & different skins (these might come out later say closer to Oct.)

Yes Yes, Aug. 7th is the correct date. Working outside in 113 degree heat puts a toll on ya, sorry...

I've been waiting for the iTunes movie store since the Mac Mini came out. I want to see HD (1080p) movies on iTunes and a new Mac Mini with some HDMIs and a high end video card. Then I can plug that into my 1080p HDTV and cancell my Netflix subscription!

How about the iPhone???

Back on topic, my guess:

Mac Pro with Woodcrest (and probably a cheaper Conroe model too)
Xserve with Woodcrest
Leopard demo
possibly rev B MBP with Merom
maybe new ACDs

no iPods - it's WWDC not MWSF

I can see a Mac Pro XServe running the new Xeon processor (dual or quad configuration) which will lead to the Mac Pro being released either before XMAS or at the Jan. MWSF show (though would be rather daft on Apple's part since XMAS is to Apple what the candy store is to a 5 year old).

Demo of the next OS including a boatload of new and improved features.

I doubt we'll see a Rev B of the MB or MBP (speed at the moment is fine, i would like them all to carry the 8x or greater DVD+R/W drives...but that's just me) just yet, they haven't sold enough units. We'll get an earful of retail store data (8+ million ipods sold in the APR-JUN quarter...), Jobs will thank those in attendance for their support in making Apple who they are, etc.

[QUOTE=I've spent countless nights thinking what is going to be released[/QUOTE]

I think you need to get out a little more. While I may be looking foreward to next week as I've been saving my pennies for a new desktop, I haven't been obsessing about it.
