Me too, but the iPad's killer app is portability and battery life. I'm suck of carrying my MBP and charger around the house.

I'm suck on mine, too. But I can't do web site development on an iPad.

If I travelled a lot, I would buy one in a second.

it's OK. It will happen in time.

You're right. There are plenty of things we can do on our MacBooks that we can't on the iPad. I used to travel a lot (not so much any more) but I still think I'll enjoy the small size and light weight of the iPad even around the house.

I know there are vnc apps for the iPhone/iPad. I might turn on web sharing and see how well it works on the iPad. You never know...

It works great.

I can't wait for RemoteTap to be updated for iPad. It will be the best ting since sliced beer.

Of course not, your iPad can't display any of the action.

I just got back from a conference. One of the attendees carried around an iPhone, MacBook Pro (a big one), and an iPad. I was a little bit surprised at that one.

Well, I guess one thing to note is that the 15" (and 17") MacBook Pro would have been too big to use on the plane. The iPad is definitely superior on the plane, at least if you don't have to edit PowerPoint presentations, which many have to do for these conferences. (I haven't tried editing PowerPoint presentations in Keynote on the iPad, but editing PowerPoint presentations in Keynote on the Mac is a big pain. Severe issues exist with formatting.) (I use a 13" on the plane, and it's generally OK for most regular planes although can get cramped on the most cramped planes like vacation charters. I hate using a 15" laptop on any plane though, as I usually don't take business class.)
