Hi,

I was wondering if someone could tell me where I could get those fancy star like shaped screwdrivers to open up my old Powerbook?

Thanks

Thanks ! I would rather go for a "exchange the tips and have one handle.com", but need it asap now.

My PowerBook has regular Phillips head screws that require a #0/#00 to open them. I use this Husky 8-in-1 Precision Screwdriver I bought from Home Depot for about $5.

I second SEARS. And they're standard torx.

Most Apple laptops will require these three at some point:

Phillips #0
Phillips #1
Torx 8

Some may require:

Torx 6

Phillips #00 is usually not required... it only started being spec'd for the MacBooks to open the RAM slots... but a #0 works fine, so no one knows why.

Oh, if you're buying a set to use often.. I recommend WIHA tools. Or second, CRAFTSMAN.
