- UPDATED: I modified this desktop, re-download and take a look. If you notice the change...great! If not, oh well, its just a minor change. -
Here's a desktop I made, take it or leave it.

Dace.. though i do like your desktop work, i have to wonder how functional they are.. You have left very little space for the dock, folders, or other items on the desktop (like widgets).. Maybe it's me, but i like to have some organization to mine..

Hehe Cool...
The wallpaper is nice but it's little bit small, maybe you can make a 1600*1200 version for us widescreen users...

okay so i tried to make you guys & gals a small file to use.. it was 6.7 megs conpressed and stuffed
The best way to recreate what i have done is to get your desktop set up just the way you want and take a screen shot..
Open the screen shot in PS and set-up your guides, i left roughly 5 pixels around all the elements i wanted 'cut-out'.. Create paths for the 'cut-out' areas, makes it easier when you go to apply this look to a new desktop. Change the path to a selections and delete the areas.
Then i apply the layer effects Bevel & Emboss at about 3 px and soften around 4, and stroke with a dark color at 1 px.
You will need to make a drop shadow layer, scan line layer, and a white background layer.
Save and you're done.. pretty easy.. any question just ask..
