everytime i try to write a new mail, the auto-spell-check is turned on, regardless of the fact that i had turned it OFF the time before..

i figure there must be a way to turn it off permamently, but how?!

(1) Edit menu -> Spelling -> uncheck Check Spelling as you type

If this isn't sticking, try opening a new email, unchecking this, and closing that new email without sending it or anything

(2) why would you want to turn this off in the first place?
